Troop 510 isn't as old as the Boy Scouts of America, but it is the oldest Boy Scout Troop in Eagan. It was founded in 1962 and has been in existence continuously since that date. The Troop is also in the new Northern Star council which is a merger of the Viking and Indianhead councils. Northern Star Council is among the five largest in the United States, serving more than 110,000 youths and families in all or part of 21 counties in Minnesota and four counties in Western Wisconsin.
